International delegations will attend the first hearing of "Kobanê Trial" on Monday

For the first hearing of the “Kobanê Trial”, which will open on Monday, 26 April, 1,200 lawyers submitted a certificate of authorization to the court. Actions to support the HDP will be held in more than 30 countries on the day of the trial.

The “Kobanê Trial” against 108 people, 28 of whom are in prison, including former HDP co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, will open on Monday, 26 April. The trial will be held at Sincan Prison Campus High Criminal Court in Ankara.

The HDP, which has been working hard for the trial for days, will actually use this trial to expose the government's "anti-Kurdish" policies. 1,200 lawyers submitted a letter of authorization to the court to undertake the defense of the politicians involved. A large number of lawyers will also follow the case from outside.

A large number of delegations from abroad will come to Turkey to follow the trial. In addition, on 26 April, actions and events will be held in more than 30 countries to express solidarity with the HDP and Kobanê.

The HDP Legal Commission also invited some bar associations and human rights organizations to observe and report on the case. On the first day of the trial, HDP co-chairs and HDP Parliamentary Group will be present at the hearing, and in the following days, the majority of the HDP Parliamentary Group will be in court. HDP Ankara provincial and district organizations as well as the families of the detainees will be present at the hearing.
