HPG: Turkish attacks on guerrilla areas continue

HPG reported that the invading Turkish army continues its bombardments against the guerrilla areas in northern Iraq uninterrupted.

The Turkish army continues its massive bombardment of the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to a statement released by the People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Center on Friday, details of the latest attacks by the Turkish army are as follows:

Attacks with banned explosives

On 25 March, our tunnels in Girê Amediyê Resistance Area in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region were bombed twice with banned explosives.

Attacks by warplanes

On 26 and 27 March, the areas of Girê Sîser, Dêreşê, Girgaşê and Girê Kun in Garê region were bombed six times by warplanes.

On 26 and 27 March, the Turkish army carried out a total of 518 attacks with heavy weapons, artillery and howitzers, targeting the areas of Berê Zînê, Şehîd Şerîf, Lolan, Goşînê, Sinînê, Kendekola in Xakurkê region 62 times; the areas of Dêreşê, Mijê, Girgaşê, Girê Kun, Girê Zengil, Şehîd Amed, Kanî Sarkê, Girê Reşîd in Garê region 81 times; the areas of Serê Metîna, Bêşîlî, Şêlazê in Metîna region 33 times; the areas of Girê Bahar and Girê Amediyê in Şehîd Delîl Western Zap region 342 times.
