The final hearing of the lawsuit filed against 108 politicians, 18 of whom are in prison, including former Co-Chairs of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, for the protests against ISIS attacks on Kobanê on 6-8 October 2014, is being held. The hearing held at Sincan Prison Campus continued after a break.

As the court started to announce the verdict, the people in the courtroom started hitting the benches. The verdict was protested with slogans and applause. Lawyers started to leave the courtroom.

The verdicts announced by the court so far are as follows:

Ahmet Türk: The co-mayor of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality was sentenced to 10 years in prison for "membership in an illegal organisation".

Ali Ürküt: His aggravated life sentence was first reduced to 16 years in prison, then to 13 years and 4 months due to his behaviour during the trial process. It was decided to continue his detention.

Alp Altınörs: Sentenced to 18 years in prison for "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state” and no discretionary reduction was made. Also sentenced to 4 years and 6 months for "incitement to commit an offence".

Ayla Akat: Sentenced to 9 years and 9 months in prison for “membership of an illegal organization” and no postponement was made. Considering the duration of her detention, the court decided to release her.

Ayhan Bilgen: Acquitted

Altan Tan: Acquitted

Aynur Aşan: Sentenced to 9 years for "membership in an illegal organisation". It was decided to continue her detention on the grounds of suspicion of flight.

Aysel Tuğluk: Acquitted on the charge of "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state".

Ayşe Yağcı: Sentenced to 9 years for "membership in an illegal organisation". Considering her detention status, it was decided to release her.

Bülent Parmaksız: Sentenced to a total of 23 years in prison on multiple charges and it was decided to continue his detention.

Bircan Yorulmaz: Acquitted.

Can Memiş: Acquitted.

Dilek Yağlı: Sentenced to 16 years. She was sentenced to 2 years for "incitement to commit an offence". The sentence was increased to 4 years and 6 months. It was decided to continue her detention.

Emine Ayna: Sentenced to 10 years in prison on the charge of "being an illegal organisation member".

Beyza Üstün: Acquitted on the charge of "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state". Judicial control measures were lifted.

Figen Yüksekdağ: Sentenced to 19 years in prison with no reduction. No sentence was given for the allegations of "membership of an illegal organisation and leading an illegal organisation". She was sentenced to a further 4 years and 6 months for "incitement", to 2 years for "participating in illegal meetings and demonstrations" and to 1 year and 6 months for "making propaganda for an illegal organisation". She was also sentenced to 1 year and 6 months for a speech she made at Mehmet Tunç's funeral and 3 months for "violating election bans" and to 1 year and 6 months for a speech she made in Van. Sentenced to 30 years and 3 months in total with no decision for her release.

Gülfer Akkaya: Acquitted on the charge of "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state". Judicial control measures were lifted.

Gülser Yildirim: Acquitted

Gültan Kışanak: Sentenced to 12 years in prison for "being an illegal organisation member" and shall be released.

Günay Kubilay: Sentenced to a total of 20 years and 6 months imprisonment and continued detention.

İbrahim Binici: Acquitted. 

İsmail Şengül: Sentenced to 20 years and 6 months in prison and continued detention.

Meryem Adıbelli: Sentenced to 9 years imprisonment and shall be released.

Mesut Bağcık: Sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. Judicial control measures were lifted.

Nazmi Gür: Aggravated life imprisonment sentence was reduced to 18 years imprisonment. Also sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for "incitement to commit an offence".

Pervin Oduncu: Aggravated life sentence was reduced to 18 years imprisonment. Continuation of detention was decided.

Sebahat Tuncel: Sentenced to 8 years for "membership in an illegal organisation". The sentence was increased to 12 years. Considering her detention period, it was decided for her detention to continue.

Selahattin Demirtaş: Sentenced to 20 years in prison for "aiding to disrupt the unity and integrity of the state" and to 4 years and 6 months in prison for "incitement to commit an offence". Also sentenced to 2 years and 6 months for his speech at the Newroz on 21 March 2016. He was further sentenced to 1 year and 6 months, 2 years and 30 months, 3 years, 1 year and 6 months, 1 year, 1 year and 6 months, 1 year, 1 year and 6 months, 2 years for "making propaganda for an illegal organisation" on the grounds of his statements on different dates. He was sentenced to 42 years in total with no decision for her release.

Sibel Akdeniz: Acquitted

Sırrı Süreyya Önder: Acquitted of all allegations against him.

Zeki Çelik: Sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state". The sentence was reduced to 18 years on the grounds of "aiding". It was decided to wait for the execution of the arrest warrant. He was also sentenced to 4 years and 6 months for "incitement to crime".

Zeynep Karaman: Life imprisonment for "disrupting the unity and integrity of the state" was reduced to 18 years on the grounds of "aiding". She was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months imprisonment on the grounds of "incitement to crime".

Zeynep Ölbeci: Sentenced to 12 years and 9 months in total for "disrupting the unity and integrity of the country" and "membership in an illegal organisation". It was decided to continue her detention.

36 people were acquitted of responsibility for the loss of life during the protests in various cities. The court decided to separate the files of the remaining defendants whose defence statements were not taken.

Gültan Kışanak, Sabahat Tuncel, Ayla Akat, Ayşe Yağcı and Meryem Adıbelli, who were imprisoned in the Kobanê Trial, will be released.
