Autonomous Administration delegation discusses the Syrian crisis in France

A delegation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria met with French Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee and discussed many issues including the Syrian crisis and the imprisoned ISIS members and their families.

A delegation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria met with French Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee and discussed many issues including the Syrian crisis and the imprisoned ISIS members and their families.

Accepting an official invitation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French Parliament, a delegation representing the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is paying a visit to France. The visit will reportedly continue till June 11, Friday.

The delegation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria was made up Hemdan El-Ebid, co-vice chair of the Autonomous Administration Executive Council; Leyla Mistefa, co-chair of Raqqa Civil Council; Gulistan Seydo, Rojava University Foreign Relations Officer; Ebdulselam Mistefa, Europe representative of the Autonomous Administration and Xalid İsa, France representative of the Autonomous Administration.

During the visit, the main discussion issues were Syrian crisis and roles of France and European countries for resolving Syrian crisis as well as the situation of arrested ISIS gangs and their families in the region. In addition, a film featuring the Raqqa city was screened.

The North-East Syrian delegation held a press conference in front of French Parliament Foreign Affairs Office. Speaking here, Leyla Mistefa, co-chair of Raqqa Civil Council, said, “We paid a visit upon the official invitation of France and had the chance to discuss many issues. We talked about many subjects that pose an obstacle in the region of North and East Syria.”

“At this stage, we primarily placed importance on public service in order to meet the needs of people in the region and build the region,” said Leyla Mistefa.
