4 YPG fighters lost their lives in the fight against ISIS in Kobanê and Cizîr yesterday, where YPG liberated 10 villages and killed 45 gang members. YPG Media Center stated that the Commander Rubar Qamishlo Initiative continues in full force on its 29th day.

OPERATION CONTINUES IN TWO ROUTES

YPG Media Center stated that the second phase of the initiative continues to the southwest of Serêkaniyê and to the west of Mebrûka and Mount Kizwan. As part of this operation, YPG forces liberated the villages of El Hayis, Hewwas, El Qadriyê, Dehlîz, Zeydî and Seferna to the west of Mebrûka. One YPG fighter stepped on a landmine planted by ISIS gangs and died during the liberation of these villages.

4 VILLAGES BETWEEN KIZWAN AND ALYA LIBERATED

YPG Media Center also said that the villages of Maptuh, Ebû Hesen, Hiseyn Acêl and Aşşan that lie in between Mount Kizwan and Alya were liberated within the last 24 hours. 22 gang members were killed in the confrontation in Meptuh.

FIGHTING CONTINUES IN BEDIA

Heavy clashes between YPG forces and ISIS gangs continue in Bedîa village where 19 gang members were killed and 2 YPG fighters lost their lives.

GANGS’ ATTACK ON KOBANÊ REPELLED

YPG Media Center lastly stated that the Kobanê Resistance continues on its 262nd day where gang members carried out an organized attack on southern Kobanê. YPG forces repelled this attack near the village of Qeynterê and killed 4 gang members. One YPG fighter became a martyr during this resistance.
