YPG Press Office has reported in a written statement that ISIS gangs launched an extensive operation in the area between Til Temir and Hasekê, adding that all the attacks have been repelled and 65 gang members were killed. YPG said 12 YPG/YPJ fighters lost their lives in the clashes.

The statement said clashes broke out after ISIS gangs launched extensive attack with armoured vehicles and heavy weaponry on the area between Til Temir Hasekê, targeting mainly Til Cedaye, Til Fweda, Til Dimşîd, Til Riman and Seyyad villages at 05:00 on 30 April.

YPG reported that the gang groups first achieved to enter Til Fweda village, where fierce clashes erupted between the gangs and resistance forces and lasted until late hours. YPG said the gang groups were repulsed from the village as a result of the fighting, while the YPG forces liberated a hamlet near the village after launching an attack on the gangs emplacements. YPG added that 38 gang members were killed in the clashes in the area and the corpses of 21 among them were seized.

YPG further reported that ISIS gang groups launched simultaneous attacks on the village of Til Raman with 4 bomb-laden vehicles, 3 of which were detonated by the YPG forces beforehand, while the fourth one was taken under control by YPG fighters before it reached the target. YPG said that separately 8 gang members carried out suicide attacks none of which accomplished a result.

According to the statement, the gang groups that came to the scene to save the others were also hit effectively, as a result of which many members of theirs were killed and an armored vehicle of the gangs was seized by YPG /YPJ.

The statement reported that 12 gang members were killed in this area, and that corpses of 10 of them were seized by YPG fighters. In two separate clashes a total of 65 gang members were killed.

12 YPG/YPJ fighters lost their lives in the clashes, including 7 YPG in Til Cedaye, 3 in Til Fweda and 2 others in Til Riman, according to the statement of the YPG.

The statement added that clashes in the above mentioned areas are continuing.
