The HPG Press Center released the identity information of the guerrillas who fell as martyrs in Govendê last year.

“On 4 November 2020, clashes broke out between our forces and the invaders in the area of Govendê in the region of Avashin. Our comrades Delil, Nalin, Rodi and Şoreş, who dealt heavy blows to the invaders in these clashes, fought with great heroism and joined the caravan of martyrs.”

The statement added: “In the history of the struggle in Kurdistan, the Zagros Mountains have been a place where legends were written, heroism was recorded and legends were created. Delil, Nalin, Rodi and Şoreş, whose names went down in the history of struggle as they wrote one of these epics, were our comrades. They have left a great legacy of resistance to their successors with their commitment in the struggle, their performances on the resistance front, and their successful actions in the new era guerrilla.”

The statement continued: “Our comrades Delil, Nalin, Rodi and Şoreş, who led many actions in Zagros, turned the patriotic resistance culture of the Kurdish people into an unshakable will by transforming Leader Ocalan’s ideas into the ideas that shaped their struggle and personalities. Our comrades, who were always struggling with the awareness of duty and responsibility, have fulfilled all their duties with great success. Our comrades Delil, Nalin, Rodi and Şoreş illuminated our way to victory with the struggle they developed with an unshakable and indomitable will.”
