Guerrilla Çiya: We should all join the struggle against isolation

HPG guerrilla Çiya pointed out the importance of participating in the struggle to break the isolation imposed upon Kurdish people's leader Öcalan.

Guerrilla Derwêş Çiya said that everyone should act according to one reality: "Neither the pressure on the people nor fascism will decrease without breaking the isolation on Leader Öcalan."

HPG guerrilla Derwêş Çiya spoke to ANF about the hunger strike carried out by PKK and PAJK prisoners which has been going on for over two months.

Noting that Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan continues to work showing a great stance and great resistance despite the increasingly aggravated isolation, the psychological pressure and torture of the special war against him, guerrilla Çiya said: “The more the isolation grows, the stronger the Leader and the Kurdish people are. Nobody should have a single doubt about this.”

Guerrilla Çiya underlined that the prisoners are facing persecution in jail, yet they are not feeling lost, on the contrary the PKK developed an honourable struggle based on the future of resistance. “This is not an easy nor a small thing. Everyone needs to take this struggle very seriously. Every Kurd should ask himself ‘why are they going on hunger strike under such circumstances?’ Standing against the isolation, which is a crime against humanity, is something required of any human being, not just Kurds. Therefore, everyone should show respect for the prisoners and support them.”

HPG guerrilla Derwêş Çiya pointed out the importance of participating in the struggle to break the isolation imposed on the Kurdish people's leader and to prevent any harm to prisoners, and added: “We are all responsible. Without breaking the isolation on the leadership, neither the pressure on the people nor fascism will decrease. Everyone should act having this reality in mind.”
