The families of the civilians who were killed by aerial bombing by the Turkish air force in Roboski continue to demand justice. Gathering at the Roboski cemetery for the 172nd week, the Roboski families drew attention to the recent killing of mules by Turkish soldiers, and said the authorities are attempting to legitimize the massacre through their statements.
The 172nd gathering of the Roboski families in the cemetery to demand justice for the 34 civilians, mostly young men and teenagers, who were killed in the bombing, was also attended by the Animal Rights Federation chair and CHP MP Melda Onur, who is visiting the district after the killing of the mules.
Speaking on behalf of the families, the chair of the Association for Justice for Roboski, Veli Encü, said they demanded justice for the slaughtered mules in the same way as they continue to demand justice for the 34 civilians massacred. Encü added that they suffer attacks as they continue to demand justice, and drew attention to the statements made by the Turkish authorities, specifically those of Sirnak governorate about the killings, saying that they add insult to injury and try to legitimize the massacres.
