Two people were wounded as a result of an armed attack conducted by supporters of the radical Islamist Hür Dava Party Thursday afternoon. The armed attack targeted a HDP convoy on the way to Kozlu (Xanikê) village of Şırnak's İdil district on visit to villages of the district as part of the election campaign.
The assailants with long barreled guns also targeted the other HDP members in the convoy and supporters in the village who reacted to the attack.
Gendarmes were sent to the village where tension between villagers and assailants is reported to be continuing while HDP convoy has left.
