Avaşîn Kütahya stated that the PKK struggle began for the freedom of Kurdish people and became more universal as it transformed into a struggle for all oppressed people such as Laz, Circassian, and Turkish.
‘I FOLLOW THE PATH OF COMRADES KEMAL PİR AND HAKİ KARER’
In her statement to ANF, Kütahya saluted people of Kurdistan and Kütahya province, and appealed to them before the June 7 elections. Before her call, Kütahya clarified why she joined the Kurdish Freedom Struggle. Kütahya said that she saw how the AKP tortured Kurdish people, other oppressed people, women and women’s labor. After this realization, she began her search and decided that only the mountains could respond to her search. Kütahya pointed out that when she was within the system, she thought that the Kurdish Freedom movement only fought for Kurds, just like Turkish people think today. However, Kütahya said that she learned how this was not the case and Turkish people such as comrades Kemal Pir and Haki Karer have also led the movement in its emergence alongside Leader Apo. Kütahya emphasized that she walked on the path Pir and Karer paved and joined the freedom struggle.

Kütahya described the June 7 elections as a great opportunity to end femicides and unsolved murders, and called on citizens to disregard the mind games and the dirty propaganda of the AKP government. Kütahya said that the AKP would pit Kurdish and Turkish people against one another as long as they remain in power. Kütahya pointed out that the AKP has said there is no such thing as the Kurdish issue and banned Kurdish language until recently. However today, the AKP uses Kurdish as election propaganda and Kütahya called on people to disregard such manipulations.
‘THEY DISPOSSESS US OF OUR LABOR’
Kütahya emphasized that governments have remained in power through the dispossession of women’s labor and this is no different today. Kütahya said that the government today dispossesses women of their labor, disempowers them, and puts them through torture. Kütahya stated that if our people make the right choice, the HDP will end this with the value it places on women and the struggle it wages for oppressed people.
‘HDP REPRESENTS THE TRUE ESSENCE OF PEOPLE’
Kütahya stated that forces in power use nationalism and religious faiths to pit people against one another but this is not the true essence of our people. Kütahya reminded that Kurdish, Turkish, Laz and Circassian people have lived together and shared everything for thousands of years. Kütahya said that if our people want to recapture this essence, they must vote for the HDP as it encompasses the people of Mesopotamia and Turkey. Kütahya emphasized that the HDP is lead by women and offers the alternative of a new life. Kütahya reaffirmed that the HDP will realize the hopes of women and the youth, and invited people to vote for the democratic life Leader Apo and guerillas have put their faith in.
