Turkish jets bomb a village in Shengal

The Yazidi town of Shengal (Sinjar) has been targeted by the Turkish state since the organization of the local people who took up arms to defend themselves after the ISIS onslaught in August 2014.

A village in the countryside of the Yazidi land Shengal (Sinjar) has been targeted by airstrikes on Sunday.

According to reports from the ground, the village of Barê in the Sinune town was bombed by Turkish jets. Further details about the aggression were not immediately available.

Reports say that the bombardment came after reconnaissance activity conducted over Shengal earlier today.

The village of Barê is located near Geliyê Şilo, the place where Yazidi politician Zekî Şengalî (Ismail Özden) was martyred in a targeted drone attack by Turkey in August 2018.

Meanwhile, air activities are also reported from the Maxmur refugee camp, located about 60 kilometers southwest of Hewlêr (Erbil), the capital of the autonomous region in Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq.
