The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their legitimate response operations against the attacks by the Turkish state and allied mercenaries in North-East Syria.
The SDF Press Center released a statement announcing the details of their latest operations and attacks by the Turkish army and its mercenaries:
“In a legitimate response to ongoing attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, our fighters conducted yesterday three precise operations against mercenary positions and fortifications in the countryside of Tishreen (Tishrin) Dam after observing their movements, gatherings, and preparations for an attack on our positions. The first operation resulted in multiple casualties among the mercenaries, though the exact number remains unknown.
The second operation, conducted near the Syriatel Hill, also inflicted casualties among the mercenaries, but the precise number of eliminated and injured mercenaries could not be confirmed. In the third operation, our fighters targeted enemy positions and gatherings in the town of Abu Qalqal, causing significant disruption within their ranks due to the number of eliminated and injured mercenaries, the exact number of which is still undetermined.
Meanwhile, Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continued to bombard the vicinity of the dam with heavy artillery throughout Wednesday night into Thursday, causing material damage. Additionally, Turkish warplanes launched several airstrikes in the area, further exacerbating the destruction.
On the Qereqozax Bridge front, our fighters executed multiple precise operations against bases of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries at Qereqozax Hill, Al-Hawshriya, and a mercenaries gathering point near the hill. These operations inflicted heavy losses on enemy forces, resulting in confirmed eliminations, injuries, and the destruction of their positions, though the exact number of casualties remains unknown.
Turkish occupation warplanes subsequently launched a series of airstrikes on the villages of Al-Tina, Bir Hisso, Al-Shuha, and Ghasq, causing material damage to civilian property. Simultaneously, indiscriminate shelling using heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars targeted multiple villages, including Al-Tina, Ja’dah, Bir Hisso, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, and Al-Sana’a,” as well as the Saifi hill and Qereqozax hill. This brutal bombardment resulted in extensive damage to civilian homes and infrastructure.
At 07:50 p.m., Turkish warplanes launched an airstrike west of Ahmed Munir’s farm in the western countryside of Kobani, causing further material destruction. Enemy aircraft continued to patrol the skies over the city and its surroundings throughout the day.”
