PUK’s new “road map”

In the meeting the PUK Caucus held yesterday in Sulaymaniyah, the Caucus decided to hold a congress in February 2018 the latest. The PUK has a 4-point proposal for the developments in Southern Kurdistan.

The decisions made in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Caucus meeting held in Sulaymaniyah yesterday have been announced to the public. PUK Caucus Member Zubîr Osman read the statement and said that the PUK needs to hold its congress in February 2018 the latest.

Osman said, “It was stated that the assembly formed under the presidency of KDP Leader Masoud Barzani for the referendum and later renamed as Kurdistan Region Political Assembly should be disbanded, and in case it isn’t, the PUK member should withdraw.”

Osman said the following decisions have been made in the meeting:

- A committee should be formed out of the 5 parties in the parliament and they should visit Baghdad.

- The Gorran Movement and the Assembly President should participate in the parliamentary session.

- All the proposals the PUK will set forth for a solution should be approved by the Caucus.

- PUK Caucus rejects all accusations against our party. Martyrs show who have been in the line of defense.
