New group takes over the hunger strike in Maxmur

Ishtar Assembly took over the indefinite and alternating hunger strike launched in Martyr Rüstem Cudi (Maxmur) Camp to lift the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Makhmur Martyrs' Families Assembly handed over the two-day indefinite and alternating hunger strike to a new group demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 18 December.

The hunger strike continues with the Ishtar Assembly taking over the action as a third group.

Speaking on behalf of the new group, Azize Timûr said, “We will continue our actions in every field until we see our Leader physically among us. We will follow our Leader and our martyrs until the last drop of our blood. "

Azize Timûr condemned the arrest of DTK co-chair Leyla Güven.
