HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Center said in a written statement that the Turkish army has launched an operation in Esendere town of Hakkari's Yüksekova district early this morning.

According to the statement, the large scale operation has been started in the rural areas of Tilura and Goşanê villages in Esendere town at 8 am this morning.

HPG reported that the operation which is also being supported by Cobra type helicopters and UAVs continues expanding.
