Mahmoud Osman: The issue is not the PKK, it is Southern Kurdistan

Kurdish politician Mahmoud Osman called on all Kurdish political circles to unite against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks and said, "The issue is not the PKK, it is Southern Kurdistan and maybe it will suffer more than Northern Kurdistan."

Speaking to the ROJ News about the assaults of the Turkish state on Garê, Mahmoud Osman said, "All political parties should ask international centers and the United States to stop these attacks by putting pressure on Turkey."

Osman said, “These attacks are against Southern Kurdistan and Iraq, it is a violation of their borders and sovereignty. Therefore, in my opinion, the issue is not the PKK, but perhaps more so the Southern Kurdistan. It could suffer more than Northern Kurdistan did. The Turkish State sees Southern Kurdistan as a vacuum. It does not respect the Kurdistan Region. It sees it as its own property and attacks from all directions.”

Calling all Kurdish political circles to unite against the attacks, Osman said, “Kurdish political parties must unite and stand against attacks. They should also demand peace.”
