YPG field commander Şervan Sason said in a statement to Ronahi TV that the Mabruka town has been cleansed of ISIS and taken under control in the evening.
As part of the "Operation Commander Rûbar Qamishlo” which was initiated on 6 May with the objective of entirely liberating the rural district of Canton Cizîrê and endures effectively on the 20th continuous day, members of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units have liberated dozens of villages southwest Serêkaniyê before blocking all the roads leading to Mabruka town which ISIS groups have used as a military base.
