"It is a moral duty to put an end to the international plot"

YJA Star guerrilla Kurdistan Botan remarked that it was a moral and revolutionary duty first and foremost of the women to put a complete end to the international plot and to stand up for Öcalan.

HPG and YJA-Star guerrillas stated that the international plot that started on October 9, 1998 and was carried out in the person of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan against the Kurdish people as a whole, has been thwarted, but the struggle will continue until achieving Öcalan's freedom.

Guerrillas of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) and Free Women's Troops (YJA-Star) spoke to the ANF on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the international plot.

"ALL PEOPLES SHOULD EMBRACE THE CULTURE OF STRUGGLE"

HPG guerrilla Munzur Kıxi put emphasis on the struggle of the PKK and the culture of resistance brought to life by Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan who –he said- became a target as the founder of this resistance culture. Kıxi said;

"After the Leader was taken captive, the paradigm he created systematically took roots in form of a new culture, policy and hope of resistance. This contributed greatly to the regression, elimination and frustration of the plot.

Remarking that efforts are still being made to carry on the international plot in different ways, Munzur Kıxi said;

"If we can defend and improve the system of Leader Apo and bring all peoples together, then we will frustrate the international plot for good. Kurds, Turks, Arabs, Persians, Assyrians, Armenians... All peoples should recognize this plot that targets them as well, embrace the culture of struggle and resistance and take a stand against the schemes of sovereign forces.”

“THE CULTURE OF RESISTANCE MUST GO ON”

HPG guerrilla Kendal Zana also pointed out the guerrilla and popular resistance against the plot, saying the following; "When the international plot against Leader Apo was carried out, the guerrillas took a stand for the Leader with a huge spirit and great will, even though the winter circumstances limited the movement range of guerrillas. Similarly, our people from all four parts of Kurdistan rose up for their Leader."

Zana said it was of great importance that the people and guerrillas of Kurdistan unite their will on the trails of Öcalan and continue the resistance culture, recalling the words of martyred commander Reşit Serdar: "Let alone the enemy and colonialists, not even their shadow can get a foothold in free lands”.

Stressing that this is only possible with the freedom of Öcalan, Zana said the freedom struggle to develop on this basis will put an end to all plots and schemes.

"WOMEN SHOULD UNDERTAKE A LEADING ROLE"

YJA-Star guerrilla Kurdistan Botan stated that Öcalan taught the peoples to rise up and revolt against oppression and exploitation, and that all regional and global powers led by NATO came together and resorted to such a foul plot exactly for this very reason.

Botan said resistance and struggle is needed today more than ever before, underlining the essentiality of women undertaking leading roles in this struggle.

Stating that women will play a major role in the frustration of the international plot and the powers involved, Botan said: "Because the philosophy and personality of Leader Apo blossomed most of all in the persons of Kurdish women. He opened up the way to intellectual revolution and to freedom for the Kurdish women. Therefore, what has been attacked is at the same time the will, perception and struggle of the Kurdish women. The Kurdish women in the first place, all women should take a stand for Leader Apo and the revolutionary values he created, no matter where they are, round the clock and more than ever. This is our moral and revolutionary duty. Women shall trust in their power and take action."
