In a written statement, the HPG Press Contact Center (BIM) said that the invading Turkish army launched a military operation on May 10 in the area of Çemçê in ​​the province of Kağızman in Kars. The operation was followed by heavy clashes until 15 May.

The statement, which emphasized that HPG guerrillas carried out an epic resistance against the invaders for 5 days, and added that 4 HPG guerrillas fell as martyrs.

The HPG BIM said: "Our comrades Erdal, Munzur, Derweş and Sipan, who fought heroically against the invaders for five days, joined the caravan of martyrs.”
