HPG guerrillas target Turkish army in Heftanîn

The HPG Press Centre said that guerrillas hit the invading Turkish army in Heftanîn from two sides, one position was completely destroyed and two others were largely damaged.

Turkish military positions have been attacked by the guerrillas in Heftanîn, South Kurdistan. According to the People's Defense Forces – HPG’ Press Centre, one position was completely destroyed and two others were largely damaged. It is unclear how many Turkish soldiers were killed in the attacks.

According to the HPG, the attack against the occupation troops' locations on Tepê Rojîn in the Şehîd Kendal area occurred on Thursday, and were part of the “Cenga Heftanîn” offensive.

The guerrillas approached from two sides. The HPG reported no losses.

Sabotage against construction of military road

The HPD also stated that in Şemdinli, in the northern Kurdish province of Hakkari, the guerrillas sabotaged the construction of a military road to be built between Slort and Xapuşkê. Four soldiers were killed in the action on Wednesday and three construction vehicles were destroyed. Here, too, the combat area was bombed after the attack. The HPG denied having suffered any loss as claimed by media close to the Turkish government.

Air strikes in South Kurdistan

In their statement, the HPG also refer to air strikes by the Turkish army against the Medya Defense Areas in South Kurdistan on Thursday. According to the statement the area around the village of Çemşerîtkê in Gare was initially bombed at 2.30 p.m.

At around 3:30 p.m., Turkish warplanes launched attacks on the Karker area in the Zap region. There were no losses among the guerrillas.
