Housing aid for Şırnak from Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê continues to support the people in Şırnak devastated by the Turkish state.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê has sent 150.000 Euros as part of the project to build housing for residents of Şırnak.

The Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê administration has pointed out in a written statement that Şırnak is one of the places most devastated by the Turkish state in attacks against the civilian population in Northern Kurdistan from the fall of 2015 onwards. The statement also included that 7 out of the 11 central neighborhoods of Şırnak have been completely destroyed and tens of thousands of people have been left homeless.

The statement included information about the housing project: “The apartments are between 60 and 80 square meters, they have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate wetroom.”

The 150.000 Euros they sent will be used by local commissions in the construction of ongoing buildings.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê called on Kurdish people and their allies in Europe at the end of the statement and asked for solidarity with the people in areas in Northern Kurdistan destroyed by the Turkish state. Heyva Sor also asked for participation to the ongoing Sister Family Campaign.
