YPG Press Office has issued a written statement reporting the latest clashes that took place in the last 24 hours in the scope of the operation. YPG said the villages of Xiwêra, Tifehiya, Xizêlê, Um El Heyal and Dixeylaniyê to the south west of Serêkaniyê have been liberated, while the number of the casualties suffered by the gangs in the clashes of the last 24 hours could not be ascertained. Corpses of 14 gang members were seized by the YPG/YPJ forces in addition to a large amount of ammunition, YPG said, adding that the Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo will continue.
YPG further stated that the resistance in Kobanê also continues in its 259th day with the operation launched by the Defense Units in the east of the town.
According to the statement, the village of Keynter, three villages of Kûlan and Kepirepin hill have been liberated, while the casualties could not be ascertained due to the intense clashes ongoing in the area.
