Guerrilla Viyan Şaho: We will stand with Öcalan until the end

Guerrilla Viyan Şaho denounced the 15 February international conspiracy, reaffirming her unwavering support for Abdullah Öcalan.

The international conspiracy culminated on 15 February 1999, the day Abdullah Öcalan was abducted in Kenya, and entered its 26th year. Despite enduring severe isolation, Öcalan has thwarted this conspiracy through his unwavering resistance, inspiring a people to resist through his struggle. The Kurdish people, along with all those fighting for freedom, have stood against this conspiracy and commemorate 15 February as a dark stain on human history and a day of shame.

One of the main objectives of the conspiracy was to eliminate the freedom movement and force the Kurdish people into genocide. However, this goal was never achieved. The Kurdish people and the freedom movement strengthened their struggle by rallying behind Öcalan.

YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) guerrilla Viyan Şaho spoke about the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy.

Öcalan is the leader of peoples and humanity

Guerrilla Viyan condemned the international conspiracy, stating: "As is well known, Mr. Öcalan has been held under severe isolation for 26 years. The international hegemonic powers saw his ideology and ideas as a threat. This is because Öcalan addressed the existential struggle of the Kurdish people, revitalized Kurdish society, and sparked an awakening among oppressed peoples.

However, Öcalan is not only a leader for the Kurdish people but for all oppressed peoples. He recognized that the capitalist system destroys societal values and distances people from their cultures. Therefore, he advocated for the preservation of humanity’s history, language, and social fabric."

Guerrilla Viyan added: "Throughout history, many prophets, philosophers, and people's leaders have fought for the freedom of oppressed nations. Yet, those who sought to resolve these crises and guide society often fell short. In contrast, Öcalan took responsibility before history and the peoples of the world, initiating a great struggle for their freedom. For this reason, Öcalan has become the leader of peoples and humanity today."

Peoples of the world are organizing around Öcalan’s ideology

Guerrilla Viyan Şaho emphasized that both international powers and local collaborators played a role in the 1999 international conspiracy and stated: "Mr. Öcalan never surrendered in the face of the conspiracy. He dismantled this plot through immense struggle, deep philosophical thought, and a powerful ideology. He never saw himself as an individual but rather as a representative of society, and he shaped his fight accordingly.

During the process of the international conspiracy, not only the Kurdish people but also many other communities took to the streets in protest. The conspiracy was never accepted. Women, in particular, mounted a tremendous resistance, thwarting the plans of the conspiratorial forces.

Even today, oppressed peoples see their own freedom in the freedom of Öcalan. To defend his ideology and put the paradigm of democratic modernity into practice more effectively, significant resistance continues, especially in Rojava and other regions."

Women will thwart this conspiracy through their struggle

Guerrilla Viyan Şaho emphasized that they will continue their struggle until Öcalan's physical freedom is secured, stating: "Öcalan has always placed great importance on women and paved the way for their liberation, organization, and participation in the struggle. He has dedicated immense labor to the cause of women's freedom.

For this reason, women today embrace Öcalan even more strongly. Since the very beginning of the conspiracy, thousands of our comrades have self-immolated and carried out major actions to show that they would never accept this plot. We also condemn this dark day once again. We will stand with Mr. Öcalan until the very end and will never accept this conspiracy."
