'Guerillas are the defense force of Kurdistan'

One of the Kirkuk front peshmerge commanders, Resul, has criticized the Turkmen front official Salihi describing the guerilla as “terrorists” and said that guerillas were the legitimate defense force of Kurdistan.”

One of the Kirkuk front peshmerge commanders, Westa Resul, spoke in the Mehtep Xalit zone in the Kikruk front today and criticized Turkmen front official and Iraqi deputy Erşet Şahin calling the guerilla “a terrorist and invading force in Kirkuk”. Resul said nobody has the right to make such statements against a legitimate Kurdish organisation and the guerilla came to Kirkuk on the official request of the Governor to fight against ISIS.

NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO DESCRIBE THE AS GUERILLA TERRORISTS

Resul expressed that nobody describe call the guerilla, who are the legitimate defense force of the Kurds, that they will not accept that, and continued:

“I would like to state this up front. The person speaking in the name of the Turkmen front describes the guerilla as a terrorist, cruel force. It must be known that nobody has the right to say that to the guerilla. You don’t either. PKK is a legitimate Kurdish organisation, and their guerilla is a legitimate Kurdish defense force. We don’t accept anybody treating the guerilla, who have fought alongside us in the same positions against ISIS gangs and given their lives, like this and we say that nobody has this right. Any force that has formed an international coalition force against ISIS gangs and fought against the gangs with this coalition can not be defined as terrorists. Those who make such allegations are the true terrorists. So, I would like to state one more time, that Erşet Salih has no right in describing the guerilla as terrorists.”

'Ab HAD DESCRIBED THE GUERILLA AS HEROES'

Resul said that the Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi had described the guerilla and the peshmerge “heroes who fight against ISIS”, and called on Salihi as follows:

“Salihi is an Iraqi deputy. He knows that the Iraqi Prime Minister Abadi himself has described the guerilla and the peshmerge ‘heroes who fight against ISIS’. If Salihi thinks this way, why can’t he say ‘No, these forces are terrorists’ to Abadi? So, everybody should know, that we as the peshmerge see the guerilla as a legitimate defense force and we see it a moral duty to share this view.”

'THE DISCOURSE CALLING THE GUERILLA INVASIONIST IS A LIE'

Peshmerge commander Westa Resul protested Turkmen front official Erşet Salihi calling the guerilla an “invading force” said: “Erşet Salihi says Duzxurmatu and Dakuk has been invaded by the guerilla. But there are 50 thousand peshmerge between Duzxurmatu and Dubız. How has the guerilla invaded this area? Is there anything more preposterous than this? Yes, the guerilla are present in Kirkuk. They came to Kirkuk to the positions we are in now, on the official request of Kirkuk Governor Mr. Necmettin Kerim and helped the peshmerge in the fight against ISIS. The guerilla fought in the hardest fronts in Wehdê, Mattar and Dakuk when they came. They have 2 martyrs and 8 wounded personnel up to now. These guerillas came here from hundreds of kilometers away and gave their lives for the defense of Kirkuk. These political parties should have thanked the guerilla. If Erşet Salihi had visited these fronts for just one day, if he had come just one day in the Eid, or had visited a wounded peshmerge in the hospital just once, maybe he would have a right to speak, but today he doesn’t. But apparently some people behind the curtain want Salihi to speak so vile against the guerilla and the peshmerge.”
