HPG Press Office said the following in today’s statement about the mentioned action;

“At 05:00 on November 2nd, guerrillas raided the main entrance gate of the Çeman outpost in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district from three directions, infiltrated the positions here and hit the Turkish soldiers.

The first unit of guerrillas raided the positions of the soldiers, destroying all the positions and killing all the soldiers.

The other units covered the armored vehicles and positions at the main entrance gate with intense fire. Effective strikes left one armored and one civilian car destroyed, and 4 soldiers and 2 village guards in these dead. The strikes started fire in several positions, after which guerrillas moved on these positions and destroyed them one by one.

While the exact number of casualties left here couldn’t be clarified, bodies of at least 19 soldiers and 2 village guards were encountered at the scene and one G-3 and one Kalashnikov rifle they were carrying were seized. Our forces also raided the main entrance gate and burned it down before withdrawing from the scene.”
