7 soldiers killed, 8 others wounded in Uludere

HPG announced that 7 soldiers were killed and 8 others were wounded in the action carried out by guerrillas against Turkish military in Uludere, Şırnak on April 21.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Centre released a statement giving details of the action carried out by guerrillas against Turkish military in Uludere district of Şırnak yesterday.

Accordingly, guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers stationed on Kurkê Omer hill in Şırnak's Uludere (Qıleban) district at 09:30 on April 21. Soldiers fled from the hill and dispersed around in the face of the effective strikes by guerrillas who hit them once again in sabotage actions.

HPG said 7 soldiers were killed and 8 others were wounded in this action, after which Turkish forces shelled Derarê and Zendura hamlets with howitzer and mortar fire.
