Avesta: YBŞ and YPG are symbols of the Middle East

KCK's Sozdar Avesta stressed that the Êzidî people should void these attacks today as they did on August 3, 2014.
Speaking on the Turkish attacks on Shengal and Rojava, KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) General Presidential Council Member Sozdar Avesta said the Turkish state derived the strength of these attacks from the KDP and added: “These attacks have been carried out against the Êzidî people and their faith. Until peace is established, the Êzidîs should be in permanent action.”
KCK General Presidential Council Member Sozdar Avesta spoke to ANF on the Turkish state’s attacks on Shengal and Rojava.
Avesta strongly condemned the attacks on YPG and the Shengal Mountain on April 24 and said: “I bow down with respect for the YPG fighters and Êzidî youth who lost their lives in the attack and Bedran Cûdî, his son and four of our militias who lost their lives in the aerial attack on the Medya Defense Zones on April 22. And I promise that we will make their dreams a reality.”
“YBŞ AND YPG BECAME SYMBOLS FOR THE MIDDLE EAST”
“The AKP-MHP fascism is attacking Kurdistan and Êzidxan, with KDP’s collaboration. The attacks on April 24 were carried out on the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian genocide. 102 years ago, the Turkish state carried out those attacks in order to guarantee the one-nation, and today they continue the same attacks. After the fraudulent referendum on April 16, Erdoğan wanted to attack everywhere and thus attacked YPG, Shengal, the Kurdish people and the Êzidî society,” said Avesta and added that the attacks of August 3, 2014 were voided by the YPG/YPJ, HPG and YJA Star forces.
Avesta stated that YPG had become a symbol in the Middle East and Arîn Mîrkan in the world and added: “The Êzidî society didn’t give up on their struggle against all odds even after the attacks of August 3 and they formed their self-defense organizations of YBŞ and YJŞ. The Êzidî people demand their freedom and autonomy, led by YBŞ and YJŞ.”
"THEY WANT TO COMPLETE THE AUGUST 3 AND MARCH 3 PLANS"
Avesta added that when the Turkish state’s plans of August 3 and the KDP-Erdoğan gangs’ plan of March 3 failed, they attempted to achieve their goals by bombing and continued: “They rained down bombs on the Constituent Assembly building and Shengal Çira Radio. This is a cowardly and immoral attack. Nobody can say they attacked military targets because there are no divisions between the military and civilian anymore. They attacked the idea and the philosophy. The KDP press saying ‘the bombed locations were PKK bases’ is not realistic, and even if they were PKK bases, these attacks are not legitimate.”
“THE UN SHOULD URGENTLY PROTECT THE ÊZIDÎ PEOPLE”
Avesta called on the Êzidî people and the peoples of Rojava to rise up and said: “The Êzidî people and the peoples of Rojava shouldn’t stay silent in the face of these attacks and they should organize themselves. An oppressed people have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. The Êzidî people and the peoples of Rojava should see and recognize the resistance of the YBŞ and the YPG. The martyred fought against gangs for years, they are being attacked right in front of the Coalition but the Coalition remains silent. For this reason, the United Nations should urgently declare the places the Êzidî people live safe zones and protect these areas. And the KDP should give up on this dirty alliance. Isn’t it a shame that the peshmerga say ‘We were informed, they will hit PKK and YBŞ but we won’t be harmed’? What can the KDP do for the Kurds in this condition, how can they call the national congress, how will they found Kurdistan, we wonder. How will they defend Kurdistan? The Êzidîs are hit right in front of them, and they watch. The Êzidî people should break away from the KDP. Especially the governor who spoke in the name of the Êzidî people has no morals. The governor says ‘PKK is responsible for these attacks’. And I ask him, who is responsible for the genocide? Can you answer for the 10 thousand Êzidî women and girls?”
“The peshmerga ministry saying ‘the goal was to hit the PKK’ isn’t his own words. This comment was written in Ankara and is now broadcast in Southern Kurdistan. The goal of these attacks are to give ISIS breathing room. The SDF led by YBŞ and YPG are defeating ISIS gangs in Mosul, Tabqa and Raqqa. With these attacks, the Turkish state is prolonging their life. The Coalition and the international powers know this very well. But now they have to take a stand,” said Avesta and added that if the KDP continues their attacks on the Êzidîs any more, they should know that they will be tried on the Court of Human Rights.
Avesta also called on the Êzidîs in Shengal, Southern Kurdistan, Europe and Armenia to resistance and continued: “Like the mothers resisted the gangs on March 3 and filled the ditches by their own hands, now everybody should take to the streets in the same way. And it looks like the attacks will continue, but they may be voided with military, diplomatic and organizational means.
They wanted to completely annihilate the Êzidî people with the August 3 attack in 2014. Nobody should be tricked by the KDP’s press, because they are acting without honor. Our people voided these attacks in the persons of Nevrez, Nazê, Gulçî, Berxwedan, Orhan and Çekdar on August 3 and March 3. These people protected the honor of the Êzidxan and Shengal martyrs. These attacks will also be voided with the lead of YBŞ and YJŞ. Our people should resist day and night. I believe that these cowardly and vile attacks will never succeed. Our free will will prevail.”
