YPJ fighters: We will make Raqqa the place of free women
YPJ (Women's Defense Units) are taking an active and leading role in the operation to liberate Raqqa from ISIS occupation.
YPJ fighters partaking in the battle for Raqqa say they as YPJ want to take revenge of women from Shengal who have been sold in markets and remain in ISIS captivity here since their abduction from Shengal during 2014's massacre.
“We will struggle as women till the end. ISIS sold women here and we want to liberate the women here. We will make here the place of free women", say the YPJ fighters.
