Women on hunger strike detained in Van

14 women from the Peace Mothers and the TJA who had started a hunger strike demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan have been detained in Van.
The police held a raid at 05:00 this morning against the hunger strike Tevgera Jinên Azada (TJA - Free Women’s Movement) activists and Peace Mothers launched in Van to support DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Guven, who has been on a hunger strike for 34 days today demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The 14 women in the HDP offices were detained and taken to the Security Directorate.
The detainees are: Caziye Duman, Eylem Oklu, Behice Abi, Zekiye Kaya, Dilan Yildiz, Neslihan Sedal, Hatice Akdag, Nesibe Akdag, Eda Umac, Leyla Boge, Hediye Kacak, Keve Kacak, Besra and Kudret (last names unknown).
