After Arab women were liberated from ISIS mercenaries with the Rojava-Northern Syria Revolution, women’s participation in political, military, economic and social areas has increased.

With the opening of the Syrian Future Party Bureau in the Tabqa region, women have started to participate in the political area as well, and have a leading role in social life in the region.

Syrian Future Party Tabqa Women’s Bureau Administrator Emine Al-Shawax said since the founding of the party, women’s participation has increased by 30%. Al-Shawax continued: “During the ISIS invasion, women had been deprived of all their rights in much of Northern Syria. But after the region was liberated from ISIS mercenaries, women started to take part in all political areas.”

Al-Shawax said there are special bylaws regarding women in the party and added that women will be taking part in all activity through these. Al-Shawax concluded by calling for women of Tabqa to fulfil their leading role in all political areas.
