Woman missing for 13 days found dead

Gülsüm Doğan, who had been missing for 13 days, was found dead in Isparta province.

31-year-old woman Gülsüm Doğan living in Isparta province had been missing since December 22. The lifeless body of the woman has been found in the countryside of the Ağlasun district on Sunday.

After a crime scene investigation, the woman’s body has been taken to hospital for post-mortem examination.

According to the ‘We Will Stop Femicide Platform’ (KCDP), at least 300 women were murdered by men in Turkey in 2020. In almost all cases, the perpetrator was from the closest circle of acquaintances. 171 other women were found dead in a suspicious manner.
