TJA: Liberation comes with organization

Free Women’s Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad, TJA) members and HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Women Councils participated at a conference called “We will liberate ourselves through organisation”.
Dirayet Dilan Taşdemir, HDP Women's Council spokeswoman and Ağrı MP, saluted Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and all political prisoners who were on hunger strikes to protest against the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Taşdemir, said: "The policies carried out in Rojhilat (East Kurdistan) and Bashur (South Kurdistan) are policies of denial and assimilation. We know that the rulers have been carrying out these policies for hundreds of years. They are not new. We know this mentality and we know it hit women in particular. - she said - Everybody knows well that women have never bowed to these attacks."
Saying that the hunger strike of Leyla Güven is a wise act, Taşdemir continued: “Leyla Güven's demands are the demands of all of us and we all demand an end to isolation. The isolation is not only imposed on Mr Abdullah Öcalan, it is imposed to all Kurdish people and to the peoples of the Middle East. Which is why our resistance must be strong”.
Referring to the local elections, Taşdemir said: “We have a choice ahead of us, and the answer we will give to the ruling power will be resounding.”
