Security forces begin voting for parliamentary elections in Federal Kurdistan Region
Security forces have begun voting for the parliamentary elections to be held in the Federal Kurdistan Region on 20 October.
Security forces began voting in the special session organized by the Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission at 07:00.
Voting is being held in four electoral regions in South Kurdistan, Kirkuk and seven cities in Iraq. 215,960 people have the right to vote in this special voting.
62 ballot boxes were set up in Hewler, 57 in Sulaymaniyah, 33 in Duhok and one in Halabja.
Additionally, polling stations were set up in Kirkuk, Baghdad, Saladin, Nineveh, Diyala, Wasit and Anbar. Voting will continue until 18:00. The general voting will take place on Sunday 20 October.
