Second Free Women's Union Conference ends in Shehba

The Union has decided to step up work for Kurdish People's Leader and Autonomous Administration.

The second conference of Shehba Free Women's Union ended on Friday evening. 

Political developments and the organizational situation were assessed by Necah Hisen,  member of the Coordination Council of the Free Women's Union, who read the statute of the union.

After the discussions and suggestions presented by the delegates, many decisions were taken.
It was decided to continue the struggle for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Likewise it was decided to carry out works in the framework of democratic nation principles, and to open new women's academies.

The conference also committed itself to strengthen the work on education, environment and municipality, social affairs, culture and arts, economy, self-defense, young women and diplomacy.

The need for the launching of new social and economic projects has also been emphasized.

In addition, martyrs' wives and children supported the decision to step up work to fight violence against women. 

The conference ended with the election of 10 women who will be part of the coordination of the Free Women's Union.
