MSD Women’s Bureau condemns the murder of woman in Jarablus

The MSD Women’s Bureau held a press statement on the murder of Resha Besîs by her brother in Jarablus.

Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Women’s Bureau held a press statement on the murder of Resha Besîs, the young woman who was murdered by her brother. The brother is a member of the Turkish state allied gangs in Jarablus. The statement was held in front of the council building and MD members stressed that women have been subjected to massacres under patriarchal oppression for millennia, and that the murder committed by a gang member allied to the Turkish state under the guise of “honor” is inhumane and unacceptable for any conscience.

The statement condemned violence against women and called on the international community to speak up against barbaric practices.
