The Women House’s in Ravenna (Italy) has issued a press release to express its solidarity with HDP Hakkari deputy Leyla Güven, who has been on hunger strike for the past 45 days.
In their statement, the Italian women said: “We express our solidarity with Leyla Güven and all political prisoners who are fasting to demand an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. We send our message of solidarity especially to Kurdish women committed to the creation of a society based on justice, democracy and respect between genders.”
