Since the Islamic revolution in 1979, women in Iran must wear a headscarf when they leave home. Against this compulsion is protested again and again, be it in social networks or public, even though severe punishments threaten.

These days, completely new forms of protest against the Iranian regime are developing: while women are forbidden to dance in public, they are doing exactly this to protest against sexist legislation. In addition, women on the streets tear off their headscarves and share their pictures in the social media. According to the laws of the country, such acts are punishable by imprisonment. The women are obviously not ready to be intimidated.
