Prisoners in the Mardin Type E Prison have been refusing to go to lawyer visits for the last five months in protest of oppression and rights violations.

There is a total of 15 women in the prison due to exiles, and they are refusing to go to lawyer visits because the visits are recorded with video and audio equipment.

The prisoners are refusing this practice put in place in recent months, and have appealed several times, but the prison administration hasn’t taken any steps.

Prisoners sent a message to state that they won’t go to the visits until the arbitrary practices are ended.
