Eyşe Efendî: We will be soldiers for as long as the war goes on

Co-chair of the Kobanê Canton TEV-DEM Eyşe Efendî, spoke about the Turkish state's invasion threats against Efrîn Canton and said: "For as long as the war continues, we, the people of Rojava, young and old alike, will be soldiers."

Co-chair of the Kobanê Canton Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Eyşe Efendî, talked about the invasion threats of the Turkish state against Efrîn Canton and said: "For as long as the war continues, we, the people of Rojava, young and old alike, will be soldiers."

Co-chair of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) of the Kobane Canton Eyşe Efendî talked to ANF about the threats the Turkish state is making against Afrin and the Shehba region and stressed: "We, the people of Rojava, young and old alike, will be soldiers for as long as this war goes on. Whatever is required from us, we are prepared for and will do everything."

“THEIR AMBITIONS WILL GO DOWN THE DRAIN”

Eyşe Efendî remarked that the Turkish state continues to threaten Efrîn and pointed out that the same way like in Kobanê also in Efrîn they will choke their ambitions. Efendî said: "We are still in a very decisive and sensitive process. The Turkish state, which cannot stomach our achievements, is casting an eye on Efrîn. Exactly the same like they meddled in Kobanê cheering "Kobane is about to fall", they are now threatening Efrîn the same way. But as their ambitions have gone down the drain in Kobanê, they will be choked also in Efrîn. Because the people in Efrîn is not very afar and different from the people of Kobanê."

“THE PEOPLE OF EFRÎN HAVE SHOWN THEIR STANCE”

Eyşe Efendî remarked that: "We the Kurdish people are resolved to achieve victory and freedom. There is no backtracking from this decision. But we want that the belt of resistance and support, which was formed around Kobanê, will be put up around Efrîn as well. Those who were dreaming and fancying yesterday of invading Efrîn, have seen how Efrîn's citizens have risen to their hundreds of thousands. They do not fear leading figures or political parties. The invading forces dread the people. And the people have given their reply on the streets."

“AS LONG AS THE ATTACKS CONTINUE, WE ARE SOLDIERS”

Eyşe Efendî stated that there are still many forces and powers that have secret plans against Rojava and emphasized that as long as the attacks continue, every single person in Rojava will live and act like a soldier. Efendî said: "There is no doubt that on local and international stage many calculations are made, many traps and ruses are set. Various plans do exist. We must however unite against all these. The same like we forged a military unity in Kobanê, we can also forge our political unity. Over and above that we are soldiers. And as long as the war continues, we, the people of Rojava, will always remain soldiers. Young and old alike, we are soldiers. Whatever is required from us, we are prepared to do and will act accordingly."

“EFRÎN AND KOBANÊ ARE ONE”

We reminded Eyşe Efendî of the words "If necessary we will tie our feet up and persevere in our emplacements" which she had said during the battle of Kobanê, whereupon she replied: "We are still holding that same stance. We are still fostering that same philosophy and view. The people of Efrîn took to the streets and gave their reply. Our people said about Kobanê that if necessary we would tie up our feet but on no account would we ever abandon Kobanê. We repeat the same thing also for Efrîn. Efrîn and Kobanê are not estranged. We are Kurds. Efrîn, Kobanê and Northern Kurdistan are one.

“IF OUR ENEMIES UNITE, WHY SHOULDN'T WE?”

Eyşe Efendî called upon the Kurds for a national unity and said: "Like all our enemies come together and unite when it comes to Kurds, why shouldn't we unite? Unfortunately we still face problems and difficulties in the realization of our unity. Though we have united all four parts of Kurdistan with our martyrs, families of martyrs and the blood sacrificed, on political part unfortunately it still hampers. We now have opportunities for a national unity as never before. If some do not want to engage in that, it will be their decision. If some want to remain outside of a joint policy of all Kurds, it will be their decision."
