The demonstration at Avendunkplatz began with a minute’s silence, which was followed by the speeches of Amara Tolhildan in the name of Asya Women’s Council and Reşan Yıldırım in the name of Kurdish Women’s Movement.
Speakers highlighted the social and individual attacks that target millions of women all around the world regardless of their nationality, religion, language and color.
The demonstration ended with a call for strong participation in the protest to take place at Duisburg HBF at 3 pm on July 11 in protest at the Turkish state’s genocidal attacks against the Kurdish people in various parts of Kurdistan.
