According to a report issued by the Kurdistan Region Organisation to Combat Violence Against Women, 7,573 violent incidents occurred in the Kurdistan Region in 9 months, including feminicides, suicides, attempted suicides.
The report confirmed that 37 women were killed in the Kurdistan Region in the analysed period, 54 women committed suicide, 113 women were burned and 90 women burned themselves.
Violence against women increasing
87 sexist attacks against women were also listed in the report.
The Organisation confirmed that attacks and murders against women have increased compared to the previous year.
