List of schools bombed by the Turkish state in Afrin

In the Turkish war of aggression against the northern Syrian canton of Afrin, the occupying Turkish army and IS/Al Qaeda militias recruited by Turkey have so far bombarded 31 schools. Thirteen students lost their lives.

The attacks by the Turkish occupying army and its recruited militia from the Islamic State and al-Qaeda against the northern Syrian canton of Efrin have been going on for 41 days. Since Turkey cannot achieve any success against the YPG and YPJ fighters, it deliberately bombards civilian residential areas and the infrastructure of Afrin. There are hardly any places in the canton that were not hit by the air and ground attacks.

Almost 200 civilians, most of them women and children, have already lost their lives in these attacks. Several hundred civilians were injured. Of dozens of villages, only rubble and ashes are left. Those most affected by the barbaric attacks in Turkey are the children of the region.

13 students killed in attacks

Since the beginning of the attacks on Afrin, the schools of the region have been under constant fire from the Turkish army and its militias. According to estimates, around 50,000 children are deprived of their right to education because of attacks on Afrin. There are 318 schools in the region. According to the Center for Strategic Studies in Rojava (NRLS: Navenda Rojava ya Lękoliny Stratejik), 31 of the schools have been bombed by the Turkish state. Thirteen students lost their lives. NRLS has documented the bombing in 28 cases.
