Work underway to provide electricity to villages on the battlefront in Til Temir

Despite the daily attacks of the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries against the region, Til Temir Electricity Centre continues tireless efforts to provide electricity to the villages on the battlefront.

The Til Temir Electricity Centre continues its efforts to provide electricity to the villages near the battlefields, which have been seriously damaged as a result of the bombings by the invading Turkish state.

The Electricity Centre has undertaken its work in three main phases. The first phase started with the installing of a new 2-kilometre-long electricity line that supplies electricity to 10 villages north of Til Temir, from the beginning of September 2022.

In the second phase, a new 6-kilometer-long line was installed to replace the previous lines to provide electricity for 10 villages in the north of Til Temir as of December 2022.

In the third phase, electricity lines will be installed for 11 villages in the northeast of the district.

Speaking to ANHA about their work, Til Temir Electricity Centre Co-Chair Fehid Semile stated that they have started the third phase to provide electricity to the villages between the Zirgan and Til Temir districts.

The centre, which has supplied electricity to 22 villages in the first and second stages, will provide electricity to 11 more villages with the completion of the third stage.

Semile said: “Experts are preparing the site where electric poles and towers will be installed to provide electricity to the village of Eyn El Ebid and its surroundings."

Semile added that the work is expected to be completed within 10 days. The centre will thus provide electricity to 33 villages on the battlefront, which have been left without electricity for 3 years as a result of Turkish attacks.
