Turkish army and mercenaries attack villages in the vicinity of Tishrin Dam, Qereqozak, Deir Hafer

SDF forces successfully thwarted all attacks launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against their positions across multiple fronts.

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about their latest actions and attacks by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries in North-East Syria.

The SDF statement on Wednesday includes the following:

“On Tuesday, our forces successfully thwarted all attacks launched by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against our positions across multiple fronts.

On the Tishrin (Tishreen) Dam front, the Turkish occupation mercenaries, supported by heavy artillery bombardment that persistently targeted the dam’s vicinity, launched an attack using suicide drones. However, our forces successfully intercepted these drones. Additionally, our Martyr Haroun Units targeted a gathering of mercenaries, eliminating one mercenary and injuring two others.

Meanwhile, the Deir Hafer front witnessed intensive Turkish occupation UCAVs activity. Starting from the village of Imam, the mercenaries launched an attack on one of our positions, but our fighters repelled the attack and fierce clashes erupted in which several mercenaries were wounded. The point from which the mercenaries initiated their attack was also destroyed.

On another axis of the Deir Hafer front, our forces thwarted another attack by the mercenaries. Clashes broke out near the mercenaries’ position, leading to multiple injuries among them and the destruction of their communications equipment. Simultaneously, two mercenaries attempted to infiltrate one of our positions but were captured due to the vigilance of our forces.

At the Qereqozak (Qara Qwzaq) Bridge axis, Turkish occupation warplanes conducted multiple airstrikes on the villages of Al-Tina, Ghasq, and Bir Hisso, accompanied by indiscriminate artillery, tank, rocket, and mortar shelling. The villages of Al-Tina, Jaada, Bir Hisso, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, Al-San’a, and Sayfi Hill and Qereqozak Hill were subjected to more than 95 artillery shells, causing significant material damage to civilian homes and properties.

Under the cover of artillery and missile barrages, Turkish occupation mercenaries launched an attack on our positions. Our fighters engaged them in intense clashes, resulting in multiple casualties among the mercenaries, though the exact number remains unknown.”
