Islîm Nebo and Nehsan Mamo, despite their old age, pay a visit to the Martyrs Graveyard of Kobane every Friday and holidays, and attended ceremonies.

They have to drive 45 kilometres to reach the graveyard.

At the end of every month, the people of Kobanê are commemorating the martyrs with candles. Rêvana's parents are attending these ceremonies.

And they want to leave candles in each tomb. Rêvana’s mother said with confidence: “I see a piece of my daughter in the grave of each martyr and I can feel her. Every week I come to the cemetery twice”.

Four years ago, around this time DAESH mercenaries took control of many streets of Kobanê with heavy weapons and attacked this small city with the support of other states. Dozens of young Kurdish women and men resisted and made the ultimate sacrifice with a Kalashnikov in their hands.

Many young people came to Kobanê and went to the frontline with great enthusiasm and excitement, and they were martyred.

The father of Şehit Rêvana said: “When I come here, we go to the graves of the unknown martyrs. True, it says, ‘unknown’, but they are those who most carried out actions and cleared the country from those mercenaries".

Thousands of heroic actions were carried out during the Kobanê resistance, some of which were not documented at the time.

The war is still going on and Kobanê represents a legend of unique heroism.
