SDF Commander General Mazlum Abdi stated that they are ready to act in accordance with international agreements and in co-operation with relevant parties regarding the Suleiman Shah tomb.
Mazlum Abdi, Commander General of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), made a statement about the Tomb of Suleyman Shah, saying the following:
“In 2015, during the threat posed by ISIS, we contributed to the protection of the remains of Suleiman Shah by facilitating its relocation to the Ashme region. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to the protection of historical sites and express our readiness to coordinate with all relevant parties to facilitate the return of the tomb of Suleiman Shah to its original shrine site. We emphasise that this process must be conducted in accordance with previous international agreements and with full respect for cultural heritage.”
