The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement announcing the outcome of an infiltration attempt by Syrian-backed mercenaries.
“Our forces foiled an infiltration attempt by the Syrian regime-backed mercenaries on the towns located on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River (Dhiban, Al-Kishma, and Al-Sha’afa). Our forces forced them to retreat to the other bank of the Euphrates after inflicting casualties and injuries among them,” said the SDF statement on Wednesday.
The statement added: “Our SDF forces reiterate their commitment to carry out their duties, maintain the security and stability of the region, and respond to all attacks targeting our fighters and our people.”
