SDF reports continued aggressive attacks on various areas in North-East Syria

SDF responded to shelling by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries on the fronts of Tishrin Dam and Qereqozax Bridge.

Despite the festive atmosphere that prevailed across most of Syria during the Newroz celebrations, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continued their aggressive attacks on various areas in northern and eastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Centersaid in a statement on Saturday.

On the Tishreen Dam front, Turkish occupation shelled the dam’s vicinity and villages in the southeastern countryside of Manbij on Friday using heavy artillery, causing material damage. According to the statement, SDF fighters successfully repelled an attempted attack by Turkish mercenaries on one of their positions. Additionally, the Martyr Haroun units destroyed a military vehicle belonging to the mercenaries, after which the Turkish occupation resumed artillery shelling of the dam area in the afternoon, resulting in further material damage.

On the Deir Hafer front, Turkish occupation and its mercenaries launched an attack from the village of Al-Imam using three suicide drones against one of the SDF’s positions. The attack caused only material damage. Meanwhile, the Turkish occupation UCAVs continuously patrolled the area throughout the day.

On the Qara Qwzaq front, SDF fighters thwarted an attempted attack by the Turkish occupation mercenaries on the western axis of the Qara Qwzaq Bridge. In response, SDF forces launched an operation that destroyed one of the fortifications of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. The full extent of their losses remains unknown.
