The North-East Syrian Women's Assembly issued a written statement on the latest developments in Syria and the attacks of the occupying Turkish gangs against the region.
The statement pointed out that the gangs of the occupying Turkish state attacked Shehba and Til Rifet regions by taking advantage of the withdrawal of the Damascus government forces.
The statement said that the recent events in Aleppo and Shehba reminded of the tragedy and the threat of genocide faced by the Kurdish people in the past.
“Currently, 200 thousand citizens are facing a humanitarian catastrophe targeting their existence; they will either perish or be forcibly displaced by gangs,” the statement said, condemning the onslaught against the Syrian people.
“We condemn the war declared by terrorist organisations against the Syrian people and hold the Turkish state responsible for this. The intervention in Syria is the result of the Syrian government not doing its part and leaving civilians to face an uncertain fate. We also condemn the dangerous silence of the international powers. We call on the Turkish state to stop its hostile projects, respect Syria's sovereignty and return to its borders,” the Women's Assembly said.
The statement praised the efforts of the Autonomous Administration to ensure the security of the region and called on the people of the region to rally around the SDF.
